Data sources and licences

Every statement in a SignalChain briefing rests on a named source. This page lists every source we retrieve — with operator, licence, the source citation the licence requires, and the trust level that determines how strong a statement from this source can become at all.

We currently retrieve 60 sources, 15 more are dormant.

What the fields mean

Trust level under our methodology: A statement that appears only in news reports never reaches the status “confirmed” with us — that requires an official primary source or a measured value.

Source citation is the attribution in the exact wording the respective licence requires. Where a licence requires the notice on the work itself, it appears in every briefing; where a reference suffices, the briefing links to this page.
